⭐️ What age is this for?
We welcome makers of all ages. Schoolhouse is designed for parents and teachers with kids 3-11, and any makers who are interested in open-ended making, STEAM, and process art.
⭐️ How is this different from free activities I can find online?
First, Schoolhouse is much more than a collection of activities. In Schoolhouse you'll find support, expert advice, and creativity tools and resources to support your maker habit. If you're tired of collecting random ideas from the internet that aren't age-appropriate, require too much planning, are ad-heavy, or cost too much time to find, we also simplify the curation process to bring you the best kid-friendly art activities. We only share projects kids love, and all of this happens in a wholesome ad-free space so you can feel good about time spent with us.
⭐️ How can this help me develop a creative habit?
We'll invite you to work through exercises in TinkerLab 101, a foundational course designed to help you establish a creative habit. Building on that, each week you'll get a curated calendar with 5 prompts (plus a supply list and tips for success) to keep your momentum going. We recommend setting aside time to try at least one prompt each week to develop and sustain your creative confidence.
⭐️ What if I'm personally overwhelmed by arts and crafts?
We welcome makers with all skills and have helped so many parents who were new to making. Our simple projects carve a clear and easy path to open-ended making, and our foundational success path, TinkerLab 101, will help you develop the creative skills you need to support your child along the way.
