ACTING FAST IS SAVING LIVES |

I think we all still have so many questions about this coronavirus. And what it means for our own communities. But there is one thing we know for sure - acting fast and early will save lives. Time is of the essence! |

Alight is on the frontlines of this virus. Our teams have mobilized across 16 countries - Rwanda to Myanmar, Somalia to Sudan - to protect people and stop the spread. Refugee communities are especially susceptible, with limited water and so many people with underlying conditions. |

We’re distributing hundreds of thousands of bars of soap, setting up handwashing stations, and going door-to-door making sure everyone understands distancing and how to protect themselves. We’re screening people for symptoms. And we’re setting up quarantine zones and preparing our health centers for an outbreak. |

Every gift in every amount matters. $40 = 4 liters of handwashing soap. $200 = a water tank for handwashing. $500 to supply a refugee camp with infrared no-touch thermometers. $10,000 to construct a quarantine block. You can donate now. |

Health systems where we work are very basic. That makes the prevention and public health work we’re doing absolutely critical and lifesaving. |

I want you to know we appreciate everything you’re doing in your own community. COVID-19 is a global problem and we need amazing people everywhere working to help. Thank you for considering my request and for your continuing support. |
