There was a slight increase in liquor sales at most Canberra retail liquor outlets and bottle shops in 1982. Secretary of ShopRite supermarkets, Manuel Xyrakis, said that the demand for light beer had increased by about 10 per cent and sales of wine and spirits were up slightly.
