| Times Past Sad news on this day in 1972 with a two-car crash killing three people. A man, a woman and a seven-year-old boy were killed in the collision, while a nine-year-old boy was injured. Two cars collided on the Federal Highway near the Bendora Kennels in Gungahlin. The four were travelling in one car when the accident took place. The two occupants of the second car were treated for minor injuries and later released. The total death toll for the year was 86 compared with a slightly lower 80 the previous year. READ MORE |
