Call for Interest: TNE partnerships in the Philippines

We are inviting UK universities to express their interest to participate in a new transnational education (TNE) project under the Access and Competitiveness through Internationalisation of Higher Education (ACT-IHE).

Commencement of EME cascade training

Our English-medium education (EME) master trainers are set to commence their EME cascade training from April to June 2022. Through this, we anticipate training more than 1000 university faculty and staff across the 17 regions in the country.

Bicol University launches TNE scholarships

Early this month, the British Council joined Bicol University (BU) in launching our TNE scholarships partnership. We welcomed three scholars who will study MSc Sustainable Food Systems, a TNE programme between BU and the University of Liverpool.

UP Mindanao Newton researcher links workshop completed

Last 21 April, the University of the Philippines Mindanao campus staged the closing ceremonies for an on-campus bioinformatics training, continuing from the online bioinformatics training in October 2021. The training was co-hosted by the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine and supported by the British Council and DOST in their Newton Agham Researcher Links Workshop grant.

Do you have time to spare and want to learn more about education, English and studying in the UK? The British Council offers various massive open online courses (MOOCs) in FutureLearn.

PH universities participate in EDI project

The Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organization Regional Centre for Higher Education and Development (SEAMEO RIHED) and the British Council have selected the Cavite State University and Philippine Normal University to participate in our Higher Education Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) Governance collaboration.
