The ASB Board will meet on 27 March 2025 to conclude the 2024/25 financial year. It has been a busy year that saw the Board finalise a number of projects and progress many others.

 
A key item on the Board’s agenda for March 2025 is considering feedback from stakeholders on the proposed Standard of GRAP on Social Benefits. This will be a major milestone which brings the Board one step closer to a complete suite of Standards of GRAP. Developing the proposed Standard was complex and required the help of experts such as actuaries and statistical reporting experts. An International Public Sector Accounting Standard was available and used for fundamental principles, but innovative solutions were required to appropriately respond to the needs of local stakeholders.

The Board’s agenda also includes approving a plan on education material for preparers of financial statements. The material will be developed in 2025/26 and includes short videos for the ASB’s YouTube Channel.
