by Adam Daigle | Acadiana business editor

Good morning, Acadiana business news readers. Let's get right to the headlines.

State, regional and local elected officials along with executives from a national solar panel manufacturer are breaking ground on a facility at the Acadiana Regional Airport this morning that is expected to employ about 700.

First Solar, which announced the project last month, is planning a $1.1 billion project in Iberia Parish that will be its fifth manufacturing facility in the U.S. and one that state officials say the project could be the largest single capital investment in the area’s history.

Check out the story here.

Thanks for reading and have a great day.
