AB Espresso: Unified visa GCC visa launching ‘soon’

A single tourism visa allowing travel across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain and Oman will be introduced soon, GCC Secretary General Jassem Al Budaiwi confirmed. The visa will enable non-GCC visitors to move between member states using one permit.

In other major developments, the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) has begun the pricing stage for the first digital bond in the MENA region. Issued by First Abu Dhabi Bank, the bond uses HSBC Orion, a digital assets platform run by the Central Moneymarkets Unit in Hong Kong.

On the real estate front, the Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure has launched a project to streamline the mortgage release process following loan repayment. The initiative, part of the Smart Government agenda, aims to reduce bureaucracy and enhance coordination between federal and local bodies.

In addition, Dubai-based developer Object 1 has reported increased international demand for real estate after holding over 100 investor events across four continents. Investors are focused on return on investment, flexible payment plans, furnishing standards, and smart home features.

Meanwhile, Riyadh will host Cityscape Global from 17–20 November 2025 at the Exhibition and Convention Centre in Malham. Organised by Tahaluf and backed by Saudi government agencies, the event follows last year’s edition, which saw over $61bn in deals.
