The UAE fuel price committee has announced the petrol and diesel prices for September 2024. UAE petrol prices will see a decrease in September as compared to August.

Aside from this, the UAE is set to host a wide range of global events throughout September, further cementing its position as a global hub for business, tourism and innovation across all sectors. Abu Dhabi will host the 7th edition of the Global Aerospace Summit at the St. Regis Saadiyat Island Resort on September, 25 and 26. Gathering leaders from the aviation, aerospace and defence sectors, the summit aims to accelerate investments to boost sustainability, youth engagement and innovation in these sectors.

On the transport front, the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) in Dubai has opened two significant bridges on Al Khail Road, marking a substantial step in the city’s infrastructure development. The bridges, located at Zaa’beel and Al Quoz 1, span 1,350 metres and can accommodate approximately 8,000 vehicles per hour. The RTA also reported that the Al Khail Road Development Project has reached 80 percent completion.

Meanwhile, Dubai’s Emirates Airline has significantly expanded its global reach, doubling the number of cities it offers beyond its own network to nearly 1,700 additional destinations. The expansion comes through new partnerships and strengthening existing ones across the transport ecosystem, now totaling 162 partners in over 100 countries. This includes 31 codeshare, 118 interline, and 13 rail and helicopter services partners.

In Saudi Arabia, Riyadh Air has partnered with noon Payments, a fellow Public Investment Fund (PIF) company and part of the noon Group, to offer seamless digital payment acceptance through its payments gateway. This collaboration aims to enhance the payment experience for Riyadh Air’s guests, offering secure and efficient transactions. This partnership will provide tangible benefits for guests including card acceptance, alternative payment methods, and industry-leading features.
