AB Espresso: Etihad launches massive recruitment campaign

The Dubai Land Department (DLD) has fined three developers in Dubai AED500,000 ($136,100) each for promoting and marketing real estate projects without completing the required registration procedures for off-plan projects, in accordance with Law No. 8 of 2007 on Real Estate Development Escrow Accounts.

In other real estate news, a Ras Al Khaimah real estate developer and free zone will collaborate to offer UAE Golden Visa support to investors on a new island project. RAK Properties has launched EDGE, a striking residential development on Raha Island, due for completion in Q2 2027. Featuring 237 elegant homes with panoramic sea views, the tower will frame the entry to Raha Island with stunning views.

Meanwhile, Etihad will recruit a further 1,000 cabin crew before the end of the year as it eyes further expansion and growth in the aviation sector. On World Cabin Crew Day, Etihad Airways embarked on a global recruitment campaign. Supporting Etihad’s ambitious growth plans, the airline has already recruited more than 1,000 cabin crew this year and is preparing to welcome around 1,000 more by the end of the year.

Aside from this, UAE and Saudi Arabia are urging citizens and residents to quit smoking as part of World No-Tobacco Day. The UAE’s Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) has urged smokers to quit, warning against the serious health risks associated with smoking such as cardiovascular diseases, cancer, diabetes, and mental health issues. MoHAP also warned against the promotion of electronic smoking products as safer alternatives to traditional cigarettes due to the lack of scientific evidence supporting these claims.

Moreover, in a new report, entrepreneurs take risks and have potentially bigger rewards, while employees have a perceived security and the benefits of workplace perks. Choosing a path between the two can define a personality type and professional aspirations. According to a survey by Bayt, the Middle East has a notable inclination towards entrepreneurship.
