A Virginia law enforcement worker is dead after opening fire on police in Riverside, California, part of a violent end to an alleged catfishing act.

Police said Austin Lee Edwards, 28, traveled to California, picked up a teen girl he had deceived online, killed her mother and grandparents and then drove away with the teen.
