Auction block: A judge has ordered some dilapidated apartment complexes formerly controlled by Joe Bruno to the auction block. The complexes, totaling 500 units, have fallen into squalor, though Bruno has argued the pandemic and Hurricane Ida were a one-two punch that bedeviled revitalization efforts. Shielding officers: Louisiana police law offers officers broad rights to overturn disciplinary actions due to technical violations during internal investigations.
