Why is standing for life and human dignity so important? No Images? Click here Dear friend, Remember the Dr. Seuss book, Horton Hears a Who? I recently attended a live production of this classic children’s book with my family in Nashville. To be honest, I wasn’t that excited about attending, but as I watched the story unfold on stage the powerful, repeated message grabbed my heart: “A person’s a person, no matter how small.” When I heard this phrase, I sat straight up. It was so simple, so obvious, and so compelling. “Yes,” I thought, “every person really is a… person, no matter what their usefulness to society, no matter how seemingly insignificant they are, no matter what their stature.” A person’s a person. What a thought for our strange and confused age. Now more than ever, our culture needs voices who will stand up and declare this truth. When society tries to paint people as useless or a burden to society - whether they be unborn children, immigrants, or the elderly - we must stand and declare that all life is valuable to God. That’s why I hope you’ll join me at Evangelicals for Life at the March for Life this January. We’ll discuss what it means to stand for life - from conception to natural death, and equip you with practical tools to fight for life in your communities. Come hear from speakers like: J.D. Greear, pastor of Summit Church in Raleigh, NC and the current president of the Southern Baptist Convention Kristen Waggoner, senior vice president of Alliance Defending Freedom and an attorney who has won pro-life cases at the US Supreme Court Amy Ford, president of Embrace Grace, a non-profit that inspires and equips the church to love single and pregnant young women and their families If you register before midnight tomorrow, you can attend for just $32 by using the code BEAVOICEFORLIFE20. Tickets won’t be this cheap again, so don’t miss out on this opportunity. I hope you’ll join me in Washington on January 17th and 18th to declare to our leaders that “a person’s a person, no matter how small.” Sincerely, Dan Darling of the Southern Baptist Convention 901 Commerce Street, Suite 550 Nashville, TN 37203 Like Tweet Forward Preferences | Unsubscribe |
