Those of us paying attention know this isn't true, but the courtiers of art's 1% will do their utmost to scribble thoughts about the lineage of such pranks, trying to frame the event to make us think we're rubes, and, well, you know where this is going. Thankfully, we don't have to play this game, as other art worlds are not only possible, but exist. Don't allow money to determine the conversation, the art community is much great than Art Basel-type affairs.
