Trump's tariff exemptions for iPhones and other devices are only temporary

 

It turns out that the exemptions announced by the U.S. on Friday for imported devices such as smartphones and laptops are only temporary. Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick said on Sunday that the exemptions may only last a month or two, until the U.S. works out a new tariff approach for the semiconductor industry.
