Just because we don't name you the Media Loser of the Day doesn't mean you're winning. The dishonorable mentions of a few folks who might benefit from some time in the corner to think about their life choices:
Gov. Andrew Cuomo (D-NY) finally resigned but made sure to whine on his way out the door about how mean and unfair the attorney general was to him. He got snippy with a reporter during a hurricane briefing over the weekend too.
And then there's this report that Cuomo left his dog behind when he vacated the Governor's Mansion. "Most a**hole thing he's ever done," as one Twitter user deemed it.
Former President Donald Trump told the crowd at his Alabama rally Saturday to get the Covid-19 vaccine, but then quickly pivoted back to talking about freedom when they started booing. Alabama has one of the lowest vaccination rates in the U.S.
CNN's Jim Acosta had a whole segment Saturday criticizing comments by conservative media personalities about Afghanistan, including calling Tucker Carlson the "Ayatollah of Paranoia" for claiming that the United States faced being “invaded” by “millions” of Afghan refugees.
Gov. Ron DeSantis' (R-FL) press secretary Christina Pushaw was briefly suspended from Twitter in the middle of what is now a five-day tirade complaining about an AP article. Incoming AP CEO Daisy Veerasingham sent DeSantis a letter calling out Pushaw's actions as "unacceptable" and "harassing" behavior.
Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) was lambasted on Twitter for photos of her at a maskless Democratic fundraiser in Napa.
Kanye West took his feud with Drake to an "absurd new level," sharing a screenshot of Drake's home address on Instagram.

A much-needed happy story
Sarah Kelly, a 22-year-old young woman with Down Syndrome, was hospitalized with Covid-19. She was having trouble breathing, but she was scared of the “nasal prongs,” a type of mask that was needed to give her supplemental oxygen.
“That’s what we needed, for her to stay alive,” intensive care nurse Steven Moylan told Melbourne’s 10 News First. Worried about his patient’s health going downhill, he had an idea.
Kelly was a huge fan of The Wiggles, the internationally-popular children’s music group. And after seeing how they responded to Moylan's request to help his patient, your friendly neighborhood Mediaite newsletter correspondent is a big fan now too.
