Hello reader,

Welcome to my monthly newsletter.

November was a difficult month, wasn't it? We were all in a national lockdown and just when we thought it was over, we found ourselves in Tier 3 restrictions.

For many that will have put the tin lid on a bad year. Like you, I was looking forward to heading out for lunch or dinner for the first time in months, but sadly, it is not to be...for now anyway.

We've reported plenty on the pandemic again this month as cases and deaths have risen again in our hospitals.

One of the most shocking stories was the raid on a furniture factory where a wedding reception was taking place, showing that not everyone is following the rules set out by the Government.

But we had plenty of news away from the pandemic, including that historic Cuerden Hall has been sold to a millionaire and is set to be turned into a family home.

We managed to get a look inside it as it is now, so in case you missed it, here it is.

We also reported that the ambitious plans for the Botany Bay site near Chorley have been scrapped. It will be interesting to see what happens there now....

If you are looking to move as we head into 2021, we might just have found you the perfect home...providing you have £1.4m to spend!

Or you could buy a £2 raffle ticket and win a house and a sports car!

And if you are feeling nostalgic, you might want to take a look at these lovely pictures of reception classes from 2001. These fresh-faced youngsters will be around 25 now....and should be able to manage a bit of ribbing from family and friends!

I hope you and your family have a wonderful Christmas and let's hope we all have a much better 2021.

Until next time, take care,

Gillian
