A Lafayette health care company that continues to grow

BY ADAM DAIGLE | Acadiana Business Editor

It's been a while since I've came with a story showing the region's economic diversification, so here we are. VieMed is a growing health care company that's playing a growing role in moving away from the reliance on the oil and gas industry.

VieMed, now a publicly traded company, had its profits grow by 23% last year compared to 2023.

You'll probably hear more from them in the future. LHC Group, now owned by UnitedHealth, has since since shed about 200 jobs in Lafayette Parish. Tides Medical is also another to watch.

I sat down with Casey Hoyt and Mike Moore with VieMed. You can read about our conversation here.

Have a great day and thanks again for reading.
