March isn't just about basketball though – it's when the spring sports get fun. The LSU softball team put up a strong fight against No. 2 Alabama, taking two of its three-game series to open Southeastern Conference play last weekend. That was partially by the arm of freshman Raelin Chaffin, who returned to the circle on Tuesday night in a run-rule victory. There's more exciting news on the women's sports front – get to know a rising star gymnast ahead of the SEC Championships. No. 5 Beach Volleyball is continuing its winning streak over ranked opponents, recently capturing team wins over No. 15 Pepperdine and No. 19 South Carolina at the Gamecock Grand Slam. Part of that was because of Parker Bracken and Kylie Deberg, LSU's Court 2 pair, who went undefeated this weekend and were recently named the AVCA National Pair of the Week. In other news, LSU baseball is heating up as it begins conference play this weekend at home against Texas A&M. But before the Aggies come to town, the Tigers captured a win over neighboring Tulane on Tuesday. With right-hander Blake Money potentially in question for Friday, here's a look at how LSU coaches are approaching the starting pitching rotation in general.
