FAST COMPANY

Hello!

I'm reaching out to send you one last reminder that this Friday, April 25, at 11:59 p.m. PT, is the absolute final deadline to apply for this year's Innovation by Design Awards.

This year, we have 30 categories in total for you to choose from across dozens of industries. As always, each category is evaluated individually by my team, along with an esteemed panel of design experts, but you must apply in order to be considered.

Below are some helpful tips for you to consider when submitting your Innovation by Design application:

  • Clearly articulate the problem your project is trying to solve. Good design is about meeting needs. What unmet need does your design address? It can be big or small, or somewhere in between.
  • Explain why your solution is the best one. Our reviewers aren't looking for novelty for novelty's sake. We want original work that is rooted in specific user insights, whether it's a groundbreaking new product or a significant update to a time-honored design.
  • Less is more. Avoid jargon and alphabet soup. Our reviewers and jurors come from a cross section of backgrounds and areas of expertise, and the clearer and simpler the language in your application, the better they'll be able to grasp your ideas.

You can start your application here.

For any additional questions on your Innovation by Design application, visit here or respond to this message and a member of our support team is standing by to help.

I look forward to reviewing your applications!

Cordially,
