BofA sees "real risk" Fed won't cut rates until 2025 Bank executives are wondering whether the Federal Reserve will cut interest rates this year after Chair Jerome Powell's statement on "a lack of further progress" on getting inflation to the central bank's 2% target. Market pricing for rate cuts has been volatile in recent weeks. As of Wednesday, traders were pricing in a 71% chance of a cut in September and a 44% chance of a cut in July.
