Canadian Cancer Society Support those with cancer during COVID-19
Support Canadians affected by cancer during COVID-19 | April is Daffodil Month, when Canadians traditionally rally together to support and remember those affected by cancer. But this year COVID-19 has changed our world in unprecedented ways. The Canadian Cancer Society’s (CCS) beloved Daffodil Campaign is no exception. For the first time ever, to ensure the safety of those we serve, we are suspending all face-to-face fundraising activities. This will almost certainly result in a significant drop in donations, directly impacting Canadians with cancer. But you can help. Please donate today to support Canadians affected by cancer during COVID-19. For people across Canada living with cancer, the virus means they are among the most vulnerable in our communities since their compromised immune systems put them at a greater risk of more serious outcomes if they contract COVID-19. Their care and well-being is our highest priority; we want to support them and minimize the impact and duration of the pandemic. Only CCS has a nationwide support system that makes a real difference for people affected by cancer. Now more than ever during this challenging time, our helpline and online support programs are critical to the people we serve, providing information, reducing anxiety and limiting isolation. Living with cancer today brings added anxiety. While the diagnosis and treatment journey can create overwhelming challenges at the best of times, today’s environment of unprecedented stress and uncertainty adds to the burden. CCS is helping to ease the strain so that people with cancer can find support, comfort, compassion and care — and you can help. While we have lost the opportunity to come together in person to support people with cancer, there is much we can do virtually to keep the spirit of hope alive and show our support. Now more than ever — please help Canadians affected by cancer. | | | Support the COVID-19 Emergency Fund | | |

Your donation to the Canadian Cancer Society COVID-19 Emergency fund during Daffodil Month will help support our helpline and online support programs during this time and all year round. The daffodil is a symbol of hope and renewal. It survives our harsh winter and is the first flower to bloom in the spring. This sunny symbol is more relevant than ever at this time when we all need to join together and look ahead to brighter days. You can make a real difference and help us show that life is bigger than cancer.
