Another plan for Manchac area

After ideas about building a resort in the Manchac area fizzled, as did thoughts about building an industrial plant there, there's another plan taking shape. The South Tangipahoa Parish Port Commission envisions a wetlands education center, which might just fit because the site is in a swamp. James Finn has the details here.

More on Lafayette's "N-word judge"

According to some old Facebook posts share with us, it appears a now-controversial Lafayette judge was trying to lure someone suspected of burglaries in her neighborhood. Some suggested "she's been playing cowboy." There's a fascinating saga here.
