Working with The Marshall Project, we're taking a look at criminal justice issues facing Louisiana. In our first installment, here's the story about the death of a child around the time of Hurricane Katrina. Take a look. 


Another plan for Manchac area

After ideas about building a resort in the Manchac area fizzled, as did thoughts about building an industrial plant there, there's another plan taking shape. The South Tangipahoa Parish Port Commission envisions a wetlands education center, which might just fit because the site is in a swamp. James Finn has the details here.
