| Friend,
It’s been a month full of emotional news, hasn’t it? From California’s primary election and Super Tuesday, through our statewide shelter-in-place edict to try and help flatten the curve of COVID-19, there’s no doubt that we’re living through challenging times. The rapid rise of COVID-19 has led to many types of uncertainty - economic, cultural, and of course medical. One thing remains certain, though: KQED is committed to helping you make sense of the world.
The news coverage that gives you access to expert opinions and accurate information isn’t easy or inexpensive. If you’d like to help support our work during these unprecedented times, please make a donation.
In the last two weeks, our journalists have quickly adapted to their new work environments. Newscasts are being delivered from improvised studios in garages and closets. Pillows and curtains have become indispensable sound dampening tools. And small crews are still going into our studios and out into the community to ensure we never go off the air and you get the critical updates you need.
Factual, contextual news and information are vital to our community. That’s why we’re considered an essential service. We aren’t driven by advertising or ratings, we are here to help bring our community together at this moment, and we can’t do it without you.
If you’re able, please consider making a gift to help strengthen this essential public service.
Everyone at KQED sincerely hopes you and yours are, and continue to remain, safe and healthy. Remember, even though we are at least six feet apart, we’re all in this together.
 | Thank you, | | Michele Murphy Vice President, Member Generosity and proud KQED sustaining member |
