| By Drew Broach | Deputy metro editor MALADJUSTED: After Hurricane Ida, policyholders across south Louisiana grumbled as insurance companies, often without notice, bounced their claims around among a seemingly endless string of adjusters. Flooded with complaints, state Sen. Joseph Bouie, Jr., D-New Orleans, proposed a bill that would prohibit insurance companies from assigning more than three adjusters to work a single claim. But as other lawmakers and insurance industry lobbyists pointed out Wednesday, the legislation might have unintended consequences that would hurt consumers. MISSING IN MISSION: When Sister Suellen Tennyson left New Orleans in 2014 to serve as a missionary in West Africa, she pledged to remain in Yalgo, Burkina Faso, as long as her health and religious community would allow - even as attacks by armed Islamist groups and unlawful killings by state security forces mounted.
