| | | | Privacy lawsuit looms against JHU In a significant legal development, Johns Hopkins University and the Johns Hopkins Health System are facing a class-action lawsuit filed by a patient. The lawsuit alleges that the institutions failed to adequately protect patients' personal and medical information, which were compromised in a recent data breach involving the MOVEit file transfer software. This software has also been linked to numerous other cyber breaches affecting major healthcare organizations and companies across the country, and potentially many more breaches may have occurred without being detected yet.
