Also, where to eat this holiday season from Ian McNulty
By Bob Warren Don't let the door hit you: Another way-too-busy hurricane season enters the books today. There were more than 20 named storms, but 2021 will be remembered for Ida, which tore across south Louisiana like few other hurricanes have. Here’s a season wrap-up from Carlie Wells. And a look at what might be ahead from Mark Schleifstein. $95 million reasons: Been a long process, but LSU has a new football coach. And he didn’t come cheaply – today Wilson Alexander reports that it took $95 million to lure Brian Kelly away from Notre Dame. We’ll be following the story throughout the day, so please check back with NOLA.com sports for the latest. Holiday eats: Dining out part of your holiday season routine? Our restaurant guy Ian McNulty has just the thing for you – eight places for a holiday meal out. Bon appétit! Taysom's time? There could be a new quarterback in the lineup when the Saints play the Cowboys Thursday night. Mind you, the Saints haven't said anything. But beat writer Luke Johnson looks at what Taysom Hill might bring to the table. And columnist Jeff Duncan says the Saints are indeed in a tailspin, but it's not too late for the black and gold to make a push. Hope you enjoyed the Lunch Line. Thanks for taking a break with us today. BW |
