It's the fifth mass shooting in the city in just over three years. The Louisiana Supreme Court says a ban on non-unanimous juries isn't retroactive. The decision impacts hundreds of cases in which people were convicted by split juries. Where is our tire fee money going? Everytime you buy a set of tires in Louisiana, you pay a fee to recycle the ones you're giving up. So why does the state have so many problems with piled-up tires, which harbor mosquitoes and catch fire, and otherwise just remain an eyesore? |
