7th Circuit extends Title VII to sexual orientation Ivy Tech Community College in Indiana violated Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 when it refused to give a part-time math instructor a full-time job because she is a lesbian, according to an 8-3 decision from the US Court of Appeals for the 7th Circuit.
