It's a warm and muggy start to the day and this afternoon with be hot and humid. Afternoon highs will climb into the low 90s with feels-like temperatures in the mid to upper 90s. Thursday marks the start of summer with the solstice occurring at 4:50 p.m. It will be a sunny and hot start to the season with afternoon highs peaking in the low 90s. FRIDAY & THIS WEEKEND:
Our June heat wave peaks this weekend with air temperatures reaching the upper 90s to around 100 degrees. Feels-like temperatures will range from 100 to 105 degrees. Remember your heat safety tips: hydrate, take plenty of breaks in the shade if you must be outside, otherwise, avoid strenuous outdoor activity during the afternoon, and apply and reapply sunscreen.
