Jim Cormier, an innovator and passionate champion of private property rights, is a 2025 recipient of the National Association of REALTORS®' Distinguished Service Award, the highest honor bestowed on a member apart from the presidency. Among many accomplishments during his four-decade real estate career, he testified before the Minnesota legislature and advocated for licensing process improvements to benefit brokers and salespeople. Cormier was recognized along with Brooke Hunt at NAR's recent Board of Directors meeting.

Jacksonville, Fla., is advancing an ordinance to allocate $5 million for affordable housing. "This was an opportunity for the Council to take leadership on this countywide problem," Councilmember Matt Carlucci says.
