Hello, Today we’ve got six stories for you showing just how brilliant Lancashire folk can be, and what a brilliant community we have. One family of a four-year-old cancer battler say they have been overwhelmed by support from their local community. George Molloy from Hutton was diagnosed with leukaemia in March, just days after the birth of his brother Ralph. It’s not every day you witness 35 men carrying a 62 stone telegraph pole around Chorley, but that is exactly what James Berry and friends did in honour of his late dad and raise money for a good cause. Builder James, 37, from Chorley lost his dad David Berry, 76, to motor neurone disease in January and decided more awareness was needed to highlight the debilitating disease. There's also the courageous woman who underwent lifesaving brain tumour surgery on a mission to raise awareness of the disease that kills more children and young people under the age of 40 than any other cancer. Aren’t the resilient people of Lancashire wonderful? Thanks for reading, Adam [email protected] Take advantage of our exclusive offer for loyal newsletter readers.
