Voornaam, Today marks the 51st anniversary of the Roe v Wade decision, when the Supreme Court recognized the constitutional right to make deeply personal decisions about whether or not to carry a pregnancy to term. A year and a half ago, the extreme rightwing majority on the Court overturned Roe and took away rights from the American people. Thanks to our Governor, legislative majority, and to the vast majority of Oregonians who support reproductive freedom, we are protected from the extremist overreach of this rightwing Court majority. But make no mistake, Oregon is not immune from Republican attempts to take away reproductive freedoms. Republicans everywhere are calling for a national abortion ban through Congress. This is why we must do our part to restore a Democratic majority in the US House. We have a huge opportunity to do just that, Voornaam. We must defend our hard-won Congressional seats and flip Congressional District 5. Reproductive freedom is once again on the ballot this year, Voornaam.
