GLOBAL: Hotel Xcaret Arte is slated to open in Mexico’s Riviera Maya on July 1. The hotel is the first of Group Xcaret’s properties and will feature 900 suites, seven restaurants, a spa, five immersive cultural experiences—dubbed “Casas”—and expansive event space. Two convention centers will be able to accommodate 1,140 and 2,065 people, respectively. The hotel is located on the coast of the Caribbean Sea approximately 45 minutes from Cancun, and decor will be inspired by the art and culture of the surrounding Mayan region. NATIONAL: Seltzerland is returning this year and will be headed to Austin, Scottsdale, Tampa, Atlanta, Charlotte and Nashville between March 13 and April 24. The nationally touring event celebrates over 50 flavors of hard seltzer from brands large and small, including White Claw, Bud Light Seltzer, Natural Light Seltzer, Bravazzi and more. Seltzerland is produced by Cannonball Productions and will be socially distanced with implemented health and safety protocols. Tickets are now available for $29 on Seltzerland’s website. LAS VEGAS: “The Grounds” is the newest large-scale event venue opening in Las Vegas’s newest arts and entertainment district, AREA15. The space will span over four acres and 190,000 square feet to accommodate up to 20,000 guests. The venue is expected to be ready to host events by this summer, and inquiries are currently being accepted. LOS ANGELES: Experiential Supply Co. is reimagining Sugar Rush this year as an open-air, walk-through experience with oversize candy-inspired props, custom parade floats, whimsical art displays, curated photo ops and more. Located at the former Westfield Promenade in Woodland Hills, the monthlong event is taking place April 2 to May 2. WASHINGTON, DC: The National Cherry Blossom Festival is taking place March 20 to April 11, with peak bloom expected between April 2-5.
