Jay Gruden's been shown the door and there's a ton of D.C. dysfunction to sort through. Jason La Canfora points out exactly when the beginning of the end came for Gruden, and John Breech tries to figure out who'd actually want to work for Daniel Snyder (Patrik Walker ranks the top five candidates), plus a look at a wild Week 5 and more.
Arthur Blank says he hopes the Falcons coaches can fix things and start winning games, but there's one small problem: EVERYTHING NEEDS FIXED. John Breech says that was clear in the Falcons' loss to Houston, so he gave them a 'D' as he passed out grades for every team. John gave an 'A-plus' to the Colts and a surprising 'A' to a formerly winless team.
Vegas is actually giving the Browns some respect. Cleveland opened as a 2.5-point favorite over the 4-1 Seahawks, and if that holds up, it'll mark just the second time since 2015 that the Browns were favored over a team with a winning record. John Breech broke down all the early odds, and if you're wondering what Jay Gruden meant in terms of point spread, get a load of this.

Few people have taken a beating quite like Jon Gruden has for the Khalil Mack trade. More than 70 percent of the bets were on the Bears, but then the London game came along, things got weird and Chucky got his revenge. I sorted out the Raiders upset and more to think about from Week 5, including some big Cowboys questions (at least they've got the Jets next week).
The Saints had already won the first two games Teddy Bridgewater started after Drew Brees' injury, but he was just a game manager in those. Nobody saw FOUR TD PASSES AND 314 YARDS coming, and that's just one of the Week 5 surprises in Dan Schneier's top 10. They're not all good surprises, though; just ask Marcus Mariota's fans.
Are we actually going to see a good game on 'Monday Night Football'? The 49ers are one of just two unbeaten teams left (take a wild guess who the other one is) and to stay that way they'll have to beat a Browns team that looked good last week in Baltimore. Jared Dubin broke down all the key matchups and what to look for, and has a very interesting prediction.
Daniel Snyder bought the Redskins in 1999, and in the 21 seasons he's owned the team they've had (...checks notes...) five winning seasons and two playoff victories. Snyder has hired six different coaches in that span, and Jeff Kerr ranked them all. Here's who Jeff says was the ripest of the rotten tomatoes.
