Dear friend and supporter, In addition to the Gaza war, damage from Hezbollah in the North has led to severe disruptions in Israel, affecting thousands of lives and the state's economy. Months of rocket and drone attacks have forced the evacuation of all residents living up to 3.5 km from the border and many more. Polls show that about 40% of these evacuees will not be returning to their homes. The conflict has devastated four major industries in the entire North: tourism, construction, agriculture, and traditional industry. These sectors employ a significant portion of the area’s residents. Many factories, partially or fully owned by foreign entities, are relocation due to the instability, taking numerous jobs with them. The situation is exacerbated by evacuated workers, disrupted supply chains, and safety concerns preventing thousands from returning to work. The government has struggled to sufficiently support these hardships. Those living beyond the 3.5 km evacuation zone receive no support, even if their workplaces are within the evacuated areas. Conversely, businesses outside the evacuation zone struggle to operate as their evacuated employees cannot return. This lack of comprehensive support leaves hundreds of families without adequate financial assistance. At Feed Israel, we are committed to supporting these displaced families and addressing the critical needs of the region. Our efforts include providing essential supplies, medical care, and mental health support to help them navigate these challenging times. |
