USMCA Goes into Effect The Department of Labor announced an interim final rule providing guidance to producers of motor vehicles covered by the USMCA, describing criteria they must meet to qualify for preferential tariff claims under the treaty. The Department also affirmed its commitment to upholding the agreements labor provisions, and named panelists for the Rapid Response Labor Mechanism, a USMCA enforcement tool. |
Improving Investment Advice for Workers and Retirees This week, the Department announced actions that will benefit American workers and retirees by delivering more choices for their financial future, including proposing a new exemption for investment advice fiduciaries. |
Helping Homeless Veterans Secure Jobs The Department has awarded over $53 million in Homeless Veterans Reintegration Program grants to 157 recipients that will provide employment services to more than 21,000 homeless veterans seeking to reintegrate into the workforce. |
