If you have a business that collects customer emails…

The simplest way to boost your revenue is emailing those people with more useful products and services that can help them and that they’d be likely to buy.

For example…

If you’ve been reading my emails for any length of time, you’ve probably seen a sale or two we’ve run for one of our courses or programs.

Depending what we’re selling…

A 5-7 day promotion can bring in anywhere from $15,000 - $80,000,

The cool thing is…

Regardless of what the product or service we’re promoting is…

We rely on the same marketing principles to make us money over and over again.

Which makes for less stress, shorter work hours, and a healthy bottom line.

So on that note, today I want to share some of those principles with you…

And give you these 3 keys to a killer email promo:

1. Figure out how to give people EXACTLY what they want.

For our most successful promotions…

We simply surveyed our email audience & they told us exactly what to create.

Back in my fitness product days, we just listened to our customer service complaints...

“I don’t have any dumbbells... I don’t go to a gym... I don’t like weights...”

That’s what led me to creating my $5 million product — The Home Workout Revolution.

2. Good set up or framing of sale + anticipation = sales

Another common ingredient to many of our best promotions is a 2-3 day “build up” period...

Where we expand on the concept, benefits, or pain points behind the offer… and “tease” our upcoming solution.

In some cases, we’ve sent as many as 16 emails over 10 days.

But half of them were pure killer content...

And shared social proof stories of clients that achieved amazing results after “installing” my systems & strategies into their daily lives.

Only when our readers were saying “lemme have it!” did we start to actually sell.

3. Deadlines. Deadlines. Deadlines. (#1 factor!)

This is the most fascinating part.

Say we’re running a 5-day launch…

Our sales numbers typically go like this (and have for every pretty much every launch I’ve ever done):

Day 1:  20% of total sales

Days 2-4:  25% of total sales

Day 5:  55% of total sales

This happens Every. Single. Launch.

Sometimes the last day is even more.

Even more fascinating...

Of the last day “deadline” sales... over 50% of those will usually come after 6pm (in the final six hours).

That’s why we almost always send 3 (yes, 3!) emails on the deadline day... otherwise, we’d be leaving a ton of profit on the table.

WHY?

Humans are weird.

The majority of people are wired to wait until the last minute for everything.

Proof = any shopping mall parking lot on December 24th.

Don’t fight this fact.

Use it to your advantage…

And go hard on deadline day

======================

But here’s the thing…

Deadlines, anticipation, and perfect offers don’t just work in emails…

These same rules apply to EVERY promotion.

Whether that means online via email or social media…

Live in-store…

Or at an industry event.

Put these 3 concepts together and you’ll be able to sell to almost anyone, anywhere, through any medium.

Success Loves Speed,

Craig
