| Fox Corp., ESPN, and Warner Bros. Discovery have announced a new sports-focused streaming service that will include offerings from at least 15 networks and all four major professional sports leagues, according to those involved. The new service, which does not yet have a name or pricing, will launch this fall. It’ll be available to subscribers of ESPN+ and Hulu — both of which are owned by Disney — and Max, which is the umbrella service that is home to all things Warner Bros., including such storied brands as CNN and HBO, in addition to WB movies and television shows. WEARABLE TECH REVIEW by Andy Boxall |
Is this cheaper Oura Ring alternative any good? I reviewed it to find out
| The new RingConn Smart Ring takes on the Oura Ring, the Ultrahuman Ring Air, and — in the future — the Samsung Galaxy Ring
| The $279 RingConn Smart Ring is less of a ring and more of a squircle. The inner section of this health tracker is circular, but the outer part has a subtle rounded square shape. It’s actually a real success and I’ve found it easy to wear 24 hours a day. The ring is titanium with a plastic inner section housing the sensors. It has an IP68 water and dust resistance rating, and my Moonlit Silver version weighs three grams, according to my scales (the same as my Oura Ring). At the moment, the RingConn Smart Ring is a fairly simple, unobtrusive sleep tracker that keeps a watchful but passive eye on your daily activity. The company behind the device says workout tracking, mindfulness, meditation, and cycle tracking features are on the way ... | |

Samsung’s new fitness tracker could be released any day now | It seems that the launch of Samsung's anticipated Galaxy Fit 3 wearable device is imminent
| The Galaxy Fit 3 was accidentally revealed on a Samsung website just days ago, and now some retail boxes have been spotted in the wild, according to Gizmochina. Although the retail boxes don’t reveal any information we didn’t already know, they suggest that Samsung is getting ready to launch the Galaxy Fit 3 very soon. The new device is expected to be a significant upgrade over its predecessor and will likely arrive in at least two colors: white and black. It’s expected to feature a 1.6-inch AMOLED display measuring 40mm diagonally. The watch will have up to 13 days of battery life between charges. The wearable will also have advanced health tracking features, safety features like fall detection, and over 100 customizable watch faces ... | |

Don't wear Vision Pro while driving, U.S. transport chief says
| The U.S. Secretary of Transportation has warned drivers not to get behind the wheel of their car while wearing Apple’s new Vision Pro headset ... after seeing someone do just that
| It may sound like a statement of the blindingly obvious, but it’s been said nonetheless. The U.S. Secretary of Transportation, Pete Buttigieg, has warned drivers not to get behind the wheel of their car while wearing Apple’s new Vision Pro mixed-reality headset after watching a video online of someone doing exactly that. Yes, it appears that wearing Apple’s unwieldy headset while zipping along the highway at maximum speed is unlikely to improve your driving ability but instead send you hurtling into a stationary object that most definitely won't be virtual or augmented but very much real. You see, the Vision Pro is not a heads-up display offering enhanced driving capabilities. It's a computing device that's supposed to enhance your productivity, a machine designed to almost-but-not-quite-yet replace your Mac, and a gadget offering entertainment options that do not include driving in your car with multiple distractions and an obscured view ... | |
