3 Buckets to a better future

Dear John,

Everything has changed and yet it feels like we are stuck in time and today is March 97th. During this time, what can you do to prepare yourself for the future?

Consider the “3 Buckets” approach.

In the first bucket, I want you to imagine putting all of your strengths, gifts, talents, experiences, and skills into it. Go ahead and draw a picture of a bucket and then write on it every asset you can think of that you have.

In the second bucket, I want you to imagine putting all of your relationships that you currently have, and have had in the past. Family, friends, coworkers, customers, vendors, and clients. Go ahead and draw a picture of a bucket and then write on it all of these current and past relationships.

In the third bucket, I want you to imagine all of the problems and challenges that your relationships will face in the future due to all of the changes brought on by the pandemic. Go ahead and draw a bucket and then write on it the relationship and next to that the new problem they are facing.

Now ask yourself this question: Based on your unique qualifications (bucket #1) what relationships (bucket #2) do you want to help solve problems for in the future (bucket #3)?

Choose to get busy today becoming the person who is perfectly positioned to solve those problems. Imagine making life better for those you have relationships with now by helping them solve the problems that are holding them back. Like Rabbi Daniel Lapin says “God is never happier with His children than when they are solving the problems of His other children.”

When you choose to help others solve their problems you Choose To Win!
