Letting it hang: Florida repeals dangling law A city in South Florida has overturned a long-standing ban on saggy-pants that dates back to more than a decade ago. The ordinance, which targeted both men and women wearing pants that showed the tops of their underwear, was long considered a nuisance by residents of Opa-locka. To this day, signs are placed around the city warning visitors to wear a belt or pay a fine. Of course, not everyone wears their pants low intentionally — and it eventually took a city council meeting for officials to realize their mistake and strike the law from the record.
