👉 Binance Requests That Gary Gensler Recuses Himself From SEC Lawsuit

Binance has continued to argue that SEC Chairman Gary Gensler should recuse himself from the SEC lawsuit against the exchange. The company claims that Gensler's past interactions with Binance's CEO, Changpeng Zhao, are a conflict of interest.

In recent filings, Binance's lawyers reiterated their concerns and highlighted that Gensler once attempted to secure a job at Binance. They also pointed out a lunch meeting between Gensler and Zhao where they discussed Binance's cryptocurrency, BNB, and the idea of launching a US branch.

Binance further claimed that Zhao considered Gensler to be an informal advisor to the exchange and mentioned that Gensler shared his testimony in advance of a congressional hearing.

👉 MetaMask To Integrate With Fireblocks Crypto Custody

Web3 wallet MetaMask is integrating with Fireblocks' multi-party computation (MPC) platform.

The integration will enable Fireblocks users to utilize MetaMask Institutional's portfolio management capabilities, perform token swaps, stake Ether, and view performance and profit/loss data directly from the dashboard.

The collaboration is part of the MetaMask Institutional product, which targets institutional investors and offers features like crypto staking and lending.

👉 Australian Bank To Restrict Payments To Crypto Exchanges

Commonwealth Bank (CBA) in Australia has announced that it will impose restrictions on payments to cryptocurrency exchanges in order to protect customers from scams.

The bank will either decline certain payments to crypto exchanges or hold them for a 24-hour period, with the length of the hold subject to variation.

Additionally, CBA plans to implement a monthly limit of AUD 10,000 ($6,700) for payments to crypto exchanges in the coming months.
