Hi Do,
Stephanie and I are just back from vacation where we lived aboard our boat as practice for when we make the official move! We traveled to 3 different marinas and also had lots of time with family and good friends. In this montage you’ll see Gary and Marie George, Natalia Volz and Dave Frees and some of his family who joined us yesterday for a trip up to Chesapeake City. Only bad thing was over the July 4th holiday our rescue dog, Blue, got really upset at the fireworks and we’re still dealing with that as he does not want to leave the house and go out in our yard. I’m working hard to slowly get his acclimated again. Jim Palmer Your Dream Business Coach
21 Hard Truths Your Business Coach Won't Tell You What Your Coach Can Do For You We're all familiar with the role of a coach in professional sports. They're usually in a sharp suit on the sidelines or behind the bench, pacing back and forth, clipboard in hand, shouting out instructions. They are there to motivate the athletes, come up with plays and game plans, and help them work to improve on any weak links. They can tell the players what they are doing wrong with their performance, because they are able to look at it objectively in a way that the athlete cannot. One hires a business coach to perform in a similar fashion. They can help guide you towards your business goals, give you tools and strategies to implement to take your business to the next level, and push you to work harder and make more decisions than you might if left to your own devices. Like watching a foul shot or a golf swing, they can objectively assess the performance of you and your business and suggest ways to fine tune it. To read the rest of this article please click here.
Entrepreneurship and Shifting Priorities Many entrepreneurs initially start a small business to earn more than a bi-monthly paycheck for the hard work and value they provide. However, once cash flow and income becomes less of a pressing issue and the business provides a higher level of financial stability and comfort, entrepreneurs often shift their focus and seek something other than financial freedom. Highly successful entrepreneurs also seek autonomy - freedom to control their own schedule and they seek the opportunity and freedom to make a bigger impact - relevance and legacy. Entrepreneurship is all about risk - making good decisions and the right investments to create a business that will provide the freedom and lifestyle you want and deserve. The next time you see or read about someone very successful, know this, it did not happen by accident. It was very intentional.
