Reata hosts two Medal of Honor Recipients! | |
The National Medal of Honor Museum will soon be built in Arlington, TX! This historic project will serve as an inspiration for our nation and a beacon for the values enshrined by the Medal. More than 40 million individuals have served in the United States Armed Forces since the Civil War. Fewer than 4,000 have received the Medal of Honor – our country’s highest recognition for valor in combat. Reata was proud to host two of these great heroes on September 14. Major General Patrick Brady and Lieutenant Colonel William Swenson are both playing an instrumental role in raising awareness and funding to make the Museum in Arlington a reality. Leading the effort is the newly appointed President and CEO, Chris Cassidy, who is one of only two individuals to serve our country as both a Navy SEAL and a NASA astronaut. The Museum is a being funded by contributions from generous Americans from across the country and hopes to break ground in the spring of 2022. All Americans are invited to join the effort by making a donation to help them reach the $185 million needed to break ground.
