LAGUNA BEACH, CALIF.: The Laguna Beach Arts Alliance (LBAA) announced that its annual Art Star Awards is returning for its 14th edition after a two-year postponement due to COVID-related challenges. The Hollywood-style award show is set to take place April 24 at Seven-Degrees in Orange County and will honor stand-out programs and contributors to the arts.
LAS VEGAS: The SIAL America trade show is taking place March 22-24 at the Las Vegas Convention Center. Launched in Paris in 1964, this year’s F&B trade show is the first SIAL event to take place in the United States. Attendees should expect an itinerary filled with food insight and education sessions as well as exhibitors such as Butterball, Stonewall Kitchen, Star Snacks and more.
LOS ANGELES:Billboard has announced that the 2022 Billboard Women in Music Awards will take place as an in-person event on March 2 at the YouTube Theater. Grammy Award-winning singer Ciara is set to host the event, which will honor music’s rising stars, producers and executives. For the first time ever, the annual event is opening ticket sales to the public, giving fans the chance to see performances by special honorees Doja Cat, Gabby Barrett, Saweetie and more.
SAN DIEGO: Family-owned hospitality company Evans Hotels has announced Matthew Adams as its new executive vice president and chief operating officer. Adams will now supervise all operations for Evans’ resorts. Anthony Belef was also named chief of human resources. The hotel group is comprised of the Bahia Resort Hotel, Catamaran Resort Hotel and Spa and The Lodge at Torrey Pines—all in the San Diego area.
WASHINGTON, DC:The Restaurant Association Metropolitan Washington is bringing back the 40th Annual RAMMY Awards for its 40th edition on July 24. Taking place at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center, the in-person event will honor accomplishments of individuals and restaurants in the food industry with awards in long-standing and pandemic-era categories, such as New Restaurant of the Year, Outstanding Pop-Up Concept and Splendid Holidays at Home.
