2020 by the numbers

What your support made possible for Oregon Democrats in 2020 is truly impressive, Voornaam.

This year, our staff and volunteers made almost one million get-out-the-vote calls!

Our 2,688 Neighborhood Leaders reached out to more than 100,000 Democrats by phone and by mail — and 96 percent of those Democrats contacted turned out to vote!

What's more, Oregonians broke turnout records in both the May Primary and the November General Election. And in November's election, nearly 91 percent of all Oregon Democrats voted!

All this in the midst of a global pandemic that prompted us to completely overhaul our proven outreach operation and run campaigns without our very best tool — door-to-door canvassing.

But thanks to the incredible support of Democrats all across Oregon, we adapted and won critical races up and down the ballot!

Now, as we get ready to (finally) close the books on 2020 and work toward building on these numbers in 2021 and beyond, we want you to know about one more number that helps make all of these victories possible: $50.

If you qualify for the Oregon Political Tax Credit, you can give up to $50 (or $100 for joint-filing couples) to the Democratic Party of Oregon and then get that money back as a credit when you file your Oregon taxes.

The support we get from regular Oregonians making grassroots donations of $10, $25, $50, or even $100 is a huge part of how we've built a strong Democratic Party of Oregon, with staff who work year-round to organize Neighborhood Leaders, to give candidates the tools and resources they need to win their races, to run strong communications programs that highlight the great work of Democrats, and to involve and work with diverse constituency groups to ensure our Party reflects our state and makes sure every voice is heard.
