Investigators say they believe the brazen assault was targeted violence on at least one of the men inside. Photos showed at least 23 bullet holes in the driver's side of the vehicle, each marked with a circle of yellow tape. A bystander said there could have been as many as 35 shots.

Louisiana highway officials say the flyover ramp that carries I-10 westbound toward the Mississippi River bridge won't be cut to one lane during an upcoming construction project. Highway officials had planned to reduce the exit to one late for about 1,200 feet — or less than a quarter-mile — but are worried the largest vehicles wouldn't be able to negotiate the high-rise curve. |
