There was a nice young lady in the store who makes cakes from her home. I walked her over to the sample table and showed her the whipped creams displayed there: Caramel Nut, Cherry Cheesecake, and Pineapple Cream Cheese.
She was intrigued--whipped creams that tasted more like ice cream. I gave her a handout that explained how to make them.
The caramel whipped cream had chopped, salted nuts. The cherry whipped cream was made with cream cheese. The pineapple whipped cream was made with fresh pineapple.
I reminded her that she could make frosting out of almost any whipped cream. Then she really lit up. She looked on the sheet I had handed her--chunky peanut butter and cherry chocolate whipped cream. The wheels were turning.
