Dear , We founded EcoAct 15 years ago with the passionate belief that sustainable development, supported by carbon finance, would drive forward our efforts to tackle climate change and play a vital role in building a more resilient and equitable future. It is with this conviction that we have been working alongside you, our valued partners, to lead sustainable decarbonization strategies that benefit both people and planet. Here we look back at the highlights of our shared climate commitments over the last year: In January we announced the launch of our Nature-Based Solutions unit focused on climate change, eco-systems and communities. The team is dedicated to helping our clients to finance nature-based solutions in line with international best practices and rigorous compliance processes. They source and develop projects that put nature and people at the very centre of the solutions. We launched the Grove-FIT research and innovation program in partnership with the Institute for Climate Economy (I4CE) and EIT Climate-KIC: Alongside our partners, we are devising a carbon accounting method that will apply to the first pilot mangrove project in French overseas territories. Our new Blue Carbon Factsheet has more information and will shortly be released. We published our AtoZero programme: This transformational programme has been designed to provide corporates with clarity on what Net Zero means and how to develop a robust strategy that will support us in achieving our urgent global climate goals. Our partners continued to raise the bar with their climate actions: NatWest Group announced their ambitious Net Zero strategy, The Berkeley Group continue to maintain carbon positive operations, FRIEDRICH SCHARR KG is financing the third phase of our Award-winning Darfur Low Smoke Cookstoves project, EasyJet are financing forest preservation, reforestation and clean water projects, Anya Hindmarch has made climate action fashionable with her carbon neutral I Am A Plastic Bag, and Farfetch are providing their customers with Climate Conscious deliveries as part of their Positively FarFetch strategy. The list goes on… and all these actions really make a difference. This year is the 11th Annual Environmental Finance Carbon Market Ranking and as the carbon market continues to develop and play a role in our transition to a net zero world, it means a great deal to us to be recognized as a leader in the work that we do.
