Hello, a few updates:

1.)  June is Racial Equity Month on our editorial calendar. We already had this topic scheduled, and George Floyd's death and the ensuing protests bring more urgency to this conversation, as well as underscoring the importance of continuing it. 2.) A correction: In yesterday's newsletter, we passed along word that our newest reporter and Report for America fellow Donte Kirby is starting this week. To be clear: He will be reporting in Baltimore, not Philly. We remain thrilled to have him on our team. And, I apologize for the typo.

3.) We're closely following a couple news items that have implications for everyone. First, the primary election ballots in Baltimore are still being counted. Then, this afternoon, Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan announced today that metrics indicate the state is ready to move into Phase 2 of reopening from COVID-19 restrictions. We'll have more about what this means for Baltimore cluster of tech and creative businesses as updates become available.
